The Miami Riverwalk, flanked by the Miami River and Biscayne Bay, gently curves past elegant hotels and magnificent pieces of public artwork. See the Miami Circle at Brickell Point, a structure dating from 1700 to 2000 years old -- the only known evidence of a prehistoric permanent structure cut into bedrock in the United States. Glide past the Brickell Avenue Drawbridge, a bascule bridge originally built in 1915. Check out Fort Dallas Park, site of the original 1836 U.S. military post and during the Seminole Wars, and the Flagler Palm Cottage, the last known structure in Miami directly associated with Henry Flagler and the early years of the city's development.
